Gunslingers are the family-law equivalent of a surgeon who insists on operating on every patient. They're good at the cases that need operating. They're catastrophic in the cases that need stitching. Most cases need stitching.

How to use it this week

Ask your lawyer what their last three matters settled at versus filed at. If they don't know, you've got a Gunslinger. If they do, and the ratio's healthy, you've got a lawyer.
