Day 0
Strategy session
Ninety minutes with me or a senior solicitor. You leave with a written strategy, a fixed quote, and a list of what you do this week.

Weeks 1–6
Disclosure & valuation
Full and frank financial disclosure under the Family Law Act and Court rules. We coordinate valuers for the family home, business, and super. No surprises at the negotiating table.

Weeks 6–16
Negotiation
Structured offers and counter-offers, in writing. We negotiate around the four-step settlement process, not around whoever shouts loudest.

Month 4+
Orders or trial
Most matters resolve by consent orders. If yours doesn't, we run trial preparation in parallel from week eight so you're never caught flat-footed.

What men actually ask me in the first call.
Probably not, but you may need to refinance to keep it. The four-step process treats the home as one asset in a pool, not as a trophy. If keeping it costs you the rest of the settlement, I'll tell you.
Super is splittable property in Australia. Most settlements involve a super-splitting order. I model the long-term impact of three or four scenarios before you sign anything.
Same week: written objection, then an urgent application if she doesn't withdraw. Relocation cases are won and lost on the first fourteen days. Call before she packs.
